unlockiphone345.com Reviews - Good Service

I'm very happy with product delivered from UnlockiPhone345.com.

Their support is excellent and very fast in helping.

Last weekend saw the introduction of an unlock solution for the latest iPhone firmware. The first-gen iPhone users will now be able to enjoy 2.0 firmware with any SIM card. The iPhone 3G is not there yet, but there's some progress and we hope it would get unlocked some time soon too.

The popular iPhone Dev Team has come up with the latest version of their all-in-one Pwnage tool for setting your iPhones free via customized firmwares - much like the Windows Mobile community does it. However with the Pwnage Tool you can cook your own firmwares customized to your liking.

For those of you that are new to Pwning here's a brief and simplified explanation. You take an original iPhone firmware file (freely downloadable), you run it through the Pwnage tool customizing stuff on the way (such as pre-installed applications, setups, even custom graphics) and finally you apply it to the iPhone the regular iTunes way. It's that simple.

The new Pwnage 2.0 tool now allows you to (h)activate, jailbreak and unlock the first-gen iPhone running the latest 2.0 software. It's a major upgrade to the iPhone functionality and actually makes the original iPhone software identical to the iPhone 3G.

The Pwnage tool 2.0 also works with iPhone 3G but unlocking is not possible yet. The only available options are (h)activation and jailbreak so you won't be taking advantage of the 3G or any other phone function unless you are using the legit SIM card provided with the iPhone 3G.

The Pwnage tool is immensely popular and it's being downloaded feverishly all weekend. Thanks to your feedback an upgraded version of the tool has spawned - it's ver. 2.0.1.

Unfortunately, for now the Pwnage tool 2.0 is available only to Mac, so to take advantage of it Windows users will need a workaround which requires even more hackery. In case you are interested, you can check the Windows solution here.

The official Dev Team blog is to be found here. A step-by-step guide for jailbreaking the iPhone 3G can be found here.

We should remind you that there are three countries that you can get the iPhone 3G fully unlocked - it's Italy, Belgium and Hong Kong. In Italy the iPhone 3G 8GB would set you back 399 euro (around 630 US dollars) but you will get the device with a pre-paid SIM and fully operational with other carriers.

In Belgium the same thing will cost you 525 euro (830 US dollars) for the 8GB version.

iPhone 2.0 unlocked

In Hong Kong the only way to buy the iPhone 3G is with a local ID and local credit card. Ingenious sellers there however have already started an iPhone 3G reselling service, but it's costly and the price for a single unlocked unit usually goes over 1000 US dollars.

Additionally, several carriers in other first-wave countries offer official unlocking of their iPhone 3G handsets, but it's usually costly - about 100 euro per device (160 US dollars). For a full list of the iPhone availability and SIM lock status per country, we suggest you visit this list.

Ever since Arch Rivals was released in 1989, I have loved the arcade basketball genre, especially when you can beat the crap out of the opponent and not get called for a foul. NBA Jam took its influence from Arch Rivals when it was released by Midway in 1993, but it was different in that it had fully licensed the basketball teams in the game. That made the gameplay experience that much better since it really felt like you were playing as those teams’ star players.

NBA Jam recently made a triumphant return thanks to EA Sports, and now thanks to EA Mobile, the NBA Jam experience can be taken with you while your on the go with your iPhone. But how exactly did EA Mobile do in bringing the fast-paced, arcade style basketball gameplay experience to the iPhone? Very, very well.

NBA Jam for the iPhone comes with everything you’d expect from the console version of the game. Over 30 NBA teams are all represented in the game with their roster of star players and one or two bonus unlock able characters depending on the team. Some teams have all time greats to unlock such as Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, or Scotty Pippen (sorry, no Michael Jordan here). Other teams who might not have an all time great in their past roster will be able to unlock their team’s mascot to finally get their chance at playing some basketball with the big boys. Unlocking these additional players can be done by completing a number of the game’s challenges, which can be viewed in the “Challenges” menu. Not only can you unlock players, but tweaks to the game, such as big head mode or replacing the basketball with a bowling ball, can also be unlocked by completing challenges. The game has a ton of cool unlockables which will keep any NBA Jam fan busy for days if you decide you want to complete all of them.

The game modes included for NBA Jam are the Play Now and Classic Campaign modes. The Play Now mode allows you to pick a team, your opponent, and play a game instantly. Classic campaign lets players take a single team through 37 games in order to become the champions. You’ll not only play against NBA teams, but you’ll also take on some secret teams later in the campaign. Both of these modes can be quit and returned to, which is certainly good news if you can only dedicate a couple of minutes to NBA Jam at a time. You can also brush up on your NBA Jam skills in the Jam Camp mode, which takes you through the basics of playing NBA Jam. One thing I’m disappointed didn’t make it in the game was some kind of multiplayer mode. What’s an NBA Jam game without taking on another player and then dumping some hot coffee in their lap when they beat you? Seeing how many EA Mobile games have included a multiplayer component, I was very surprised that NBA Jam didn’t come with one. Although keep in mind that this is the land of iOS and they can certainly update the game with a multiplayer mode in the future, but I feel this game deserved one from the get-go.

The controls for NBA Jam are spot on as it offers two forms of controls: Arcade and Gesture. Arcade controls place a navigation stick on the bottom right of the screen and the shoot / jump, pass / steal, and turbo buttons on the bottom right that’ll change depending on the condition. Gesture controls allows you to use any part of the left screen to navigate and the right part of the screen to issue a shoot / jump, pass / steal, and turbo command depending on how you interact with the screen. For example: In order to issue a shoot command, you just have to place your thumb on the right side of the screen and swipe upwards. I found both control schemes to have its pros and cons, but I started to favor the gesture controls once I got the hang of them.

What’s an NBA Jam game without an over-energized announcer yelling his play-by-play? I’m happy to report that the announcer is in fact in the game and he’s spot on with his performance. Every shot, steal, and dunk will receive a reaction from the announcer. Not only will he announce the player’s names, but he’ll also say the shortened versions of their names too. I know this doesn’t seem like a big deal, but when you consider that this game is on the iPhone, I’m surprised EA Mobile was able to fit all of his reactions to every move in the game as well as the players into the game.

All of the players, their courts, and visual effects look stunning on the class='bm_keywordlink' id='iphone-4-span'>iPhone 4‘s Retina Display. Each player wears their uniform how they usually do in a real game, such as headbands, high socks, or arm guards. Their heads, body type, and hair are all accurately represented, even their dunk faces. All of the courts have a nice gloss to them and reflect the action that’s taking place. The game just looks absolutely amazing.

FINAL THOUGHT: NBA Jam is an amazing game on the iPhone. It performs flawlessly in every way, although I was disappointed a multiplayer mode wasn’t included. I don’t know what kind of wizardry EA Mobile did to fit all of this goodness onto the iPhone, but I commend them for successfully delivering an accurate NBA Jam experience.

What would you call Jobs for this? A man who always plays by the book even if it’s the Russian President he’s dealing with or a complete douche bag? Speaking of playing by the book, if the iPhone has to be locked to the AT&T, it should be locked for the Russian president too. However, on the other hand, what’s the point of the gift which Mr. President couldn’t use till date. I just voted for the Steve Jobs as douche bag.

Back in June 2010, Russian president, Dmitry Medvedev, visited US during which he also got to meet up with CEO of Apple, Steve Jobs. To appreciate the efforts of taking out the time to meet him, Jobs gifted him an iPhone, locked to AT&T.

This was disclosed earlier this week in a tweet by the assistant to President, which read:

@babdima тот телефон был с прошивкой AT&T, здесь – не очень работает:)

Translation of which is (according to Google Translate):

@babdima that the phone was flashing with AT&T, here – not working

Again, playing by the book or douche bag?

Unlock iPhone 3Gs

unlock iphone

The iPhone has gotten everybody under its spell. With its attractive look and huge number of applications available online for immediate download, and some are even FREE!, the cellphone manufactured by Apple is much more than just a phone. It is also a personal computer, a digital and video camera (and a fairly good one I might add), an organizer, ipod and many more. Basically the whole life of the user can revolve around this small but highly advanced machine. If you don't have one already you surely want one and you are searching for the best deal available out there.

The first thing you should know, if you want to make sure you get the best deal, is that the phone makes sense if you have a mobile service plan which includes high quality access to the Internet. The iPhone is designed for easy browsing and emailing so it would be a shame if you wouldn't be able to use it at its full capacity.

There are many providers out there and it is hard to identify the best deal especially as it depends on you specific needs. One of the providers, is Tesco in the UK, and it has an exceptional offer that stands out because the term of the contract is of only 12 months. It is the shortest term contract you can get on the market and you get very good coverage and quality. You can also unlock or sell your mobile earlier if you decide to do so. The secret is to get out of the contract as soon as you can because a shorter contract usually means a cheaper phone. You can notice that, simply by looking at the fee structure in the contracts of other types of phones. Keep in mind that Tesco is not the only provider.

The best Apple phone right now is the model 3G with a storage capacity of 8 GB which you can get for about 99$ and it is tied to a two year contract. If you want the fastest phone available right now the 3Gs at a good price you can wait until the summer when the IPhone 4G will probably be launched. The price of the older models will drop. The best buy for a 3Gs of 16 Gb is now about 199$.

The key to getting a Cheap Iphone is comparing all the offers available on the market and even consider buying a refurbished one.

iPhone developer and hacker Nadeem97 has released PwnageTool bundles which can jailbreak iPhone 4 and 3GS untethered on iOS 4.2.1, in the process preserves the old 01.59.00 baseband for iPhone 4 and 05.13.04 baseband for iPhone 3GS so that you can unlock with the existing version of Ultrasn0w.

Step 1: Download untethered PwnageTool bundle for iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS from here. Extract the .zip folder, in there you will find two .bundle files, info.plist and some other files.

Step 2: Download PwnageTool 4.1.3 and copy it to your desktop. Right click, and then click on “Show Package Contents” as shown in the screenshot below.

Step 3: Navigate to Contents/Resources/FirmwareBundles/ and paste iPhone3,1_4.2.1_8C148.bundle for iPhone 4, or iPhone2,1_4.2.1_8C148a.bundle for iPhone 3GS in this location.

Step 4: Now navigate to Contents/Resources/CustomPackages/CydiaInstaller.bundle/ and here copy the info.plist file and then simply close this folder.

Step 5: Download iOS 4.2.1 for iPhone 4 or 3GS. Move this IPSW file to your desktop.

Step 6: Start PwnageTool in “Expert mode” and select your device:

Step 7: Browse for iOS 4.2.1 firmware for your device.

Step 8: Now before proceeding with the create-the-bundle process, make sure “Activate the Phone” option is unchecked under “General”, and “Cydia Installer” package is selected under “Cydia Packages” option. Once done, select “Build” to start creating custom 4.2.1 firmware file:

Step 9: PwnageTool will now create the custom .ipsw file for your iPhone which will be jailbroken.

Step 10: Now follow the following steps to enter DFU mode:

  • Hold Power and Home buttons for 10 seconds

  • Now release the Power button but continue holding the Home button for 10 more seconds

  • You device should now be in DFU mode

Step 11: Start iTunes, click on your iOS device icon from the sidebar in iTunes. Now press and hold left “alt” (option) button on Mac, or Left “Shift” button if you are on Windows on the keyboard and then click on “Restore” (Not “Update” or “Check for Update”) button in the iTunes and then release this button.

This will make iTunes prompt you to select the location for your custom firmware 4.2.1 file. Select the required custom .ipsw file and click on “Open”.

Step 12: Now sit back and enjoy as iTunes does the rest for you. This will involve a series of automated steps. Be patient at this stage and don’t do anything silly. Just wait while iTunes installs firmware 4.2.1 on your iPhone. Your iOS device screen at this point will be showing a progress bar indicating installation progress. After the installation is done, your iPhone will restart automatically and you should now have a fully jailbroken iPhone 4 or 3GS, untethered on iOS 4.2.1.

Step 13: Once you have jailbroken your iPhone 4 or 3GS, you can safely unlock it on iOS 4.2.1 (on 01.59.00 baseband for iPhone 4 and 05.13.04 baseband for iPhone 3GS) using Ultrasn0w 1.2.

UPDATE 1: The link above of PwnageTool bundle for iPhone 4 and 3GS has been updated. All problems related to Cydia should now be fixed. Thanks to Nadeem97 for the heads up!
