SendGrid, an email delivery and management service, has reached an impressive milestone today—the startup has helped companies send 7.5 billion emails. That’s up from 1.2 billion emails sent through the platform last April. SendGrid is also announcing that former Oracle exec Jim Franklin has joined as CEO.

SendGrid, which was incubated in TechStars and has raised $5 million in funding, offers businesses a way to manage transactional emails (emails generated by web applications). It can handle services like subscription, bounce management and complaint feedback. Its service is aimed towards business who send out 100K emails per month or millions of emails. Clients include Foursquare, Swipely, and Hootsuite.

And with a new CEO, SendGrid is hoping to take its platform to the next level. Franklin most recently served as the Vice President of Enterprise Performance Management at Oracle. Franklin joined Oracle via its acquisition of Hyperion Solutions where he served as VP and General Manager. SendGrid’s co-founder and former CEO Isaac Saldana is stepping down to focus on product development at the startup.

While SendGrid is growing fast, recently a new, formidable competitor joined the space. Amazon Web Services launched its own email management service that directly competes with SendGrid’s offering. But Franklin seems optimistic about Amazon as a competitor. He says that Amazon entering the arena validates the importance of using an email delivery and management service. And he adds that SendGrid offers additional features, such as metrics and analytics.

And in case you are heading to SXSW, SendGrid is holding a VIP party at the conference. The first ten TechCrunch readers to email sendgrid@themixagency.com will receive a free wristband to enter the party.

After being cooped up inside during the cold months of winter, who wouldn't be interested in a day at the park? After you've packed your picnic basket and toys for the day, be sure not to forget the most entertaining and important thing of all: your dog. Your dog will love to play games at the park with the family. Here are five games to try, that your dog will adore!

Game 1: Fetch. This is perhaps one of the oldest and most cherished games to play with your dog. If your dog hasn't quite mastered the art of fetch, he will quickly catch on. Try bringing along your dog's favorite ball and throw it for him. Once he sees it fly by, he will want to chase after it and bring it back to you. Fetch is a perfectly fun game to play with your dog at the park.

Game 2: Frisbee. Frisbee, like fetch, is another fun game to play with your dog at the park. Find the perfect Frisbee to bring along, give it a throw, and watch your dog chase it and, eventually, catch it!

Game 3: Hide and Seek. Hide and seek has been one of the most beloved games of children for many years, and did you know that it is fun to play with your dog also? Try throwing a toy for your dog, let him chase it, and hide yourself before he turns around. He will have fun looking for you!

Game 4: Tug of War. Bring along a rope toy for your dog, and hold on to one end as he tries to wrestle it away from you. Most dogs love tug of war, and it is a great game to play at the park.

Game 5: Catch. Catch is a fun game that most dogs will love! Make sure to take along several soft, light balls, since you don't want to hurt your dog's teeth. Throw them up, one at a time, and watch your dog have fun catching them, one after the other.

Unlock and Jailbreak iPhone to enhance its efficiency

IPhone is one of the hot favorite gadgets in the market.  With days passing, it is making more and more people its fan. In spite of the fact that the device does exhibit certain limitations, it does not seem to budge from its leading position in people’s wish list. The reason behind this is the ability to unlock and jailbreak iPhone. The presence of these two fascinating techniques has changed the usage value of the device to an amazing extent. The manufacturer of the gadget probably did not give value to the need of such techniques thereby leaving the devices functionally incomplete for the user. Those who are already using the device or are familiar with its features are bound to be aware of the need to jailbreak the device.

The phone grants partial access to various features of the installed operating system.
Accordingly, to widen the arena of features it becomes essential to jailbreak and gain entry into the concealed attributes of the operating system.  It does not matter which model of the iPhone one owns, admission to the added features and applications is possible. Another factor often believed to be the major downside of the device is the single network it is locked with. To get rid of this barrier, the device needs to be unlocked. After the phone is unlocked and liberated from the single network issue, any SIM of any network can be used in the phone provided it is compatible to GSM device. When you unlock and jailbreak iPhone it simply boosts the device in terms of its functionality. It automatically becomes a device with more functional features.

Not only does the phone gets independence in terms of the connection used but also helps in getting freedom from hefty roaming bills. After all, why should you go on spending unnecessarily on the roaming when you can trim down the cost?  The device also becomes more cost-effective after getting unlocked. All those who have the iPhone would definitely want to enhance the device. A very important factor before you should opt to unlock and jailbreak iPhone is to ensure technique used is secure.

Damaging the device in the process of unlocking or jailbreaking is absolutely not worth it. Choosing the ideal method unfastens the path to make to iPhone even more preferred and at the same time it ensures its safety. The apt way is to take the help of the skilled experts in this job.

Online Igrice - Online Flash Games

Igre -
Instead of the hassles and risk of Ebay auctions or selling out right you can go to a website that has trading of PC and console games as well as selling and buying outright. There is still the risk of trading with people who may try to rip you off but you are not really the one who is taking the risk, it's the other guys who are trading with you that are risking their games.

It goes like this; people sign up with the site and start out with a bio and page for their information and what games, dvds, music cds and books they want to trade. You then check out what people want to trade for your stuff and offer them a trade. When someone wants to trade you simply conclude the trade in the manner they want. Since they are taking the risk of trading with a newcomer to the site they get to choose how the items are mailed and who sends first, ie. Media mail with delivery confirmation, priority mail or whatever. As far as the who sends first part the person with more trades will probably want you to send your game first. Then when he gets his shipment and verifies you have done your part of a good trade he will send his to you.

There are quite a few options from the post office to mail stuff and that is how things are sent back and forth, through the US post office. When you send your stuff you should always use delivery confirmation, it only costs fifty cents or so. That way the other person knows where the package is. When your item gets there the other person checks it over and then mails your package to you the same way. Before the trade on your items page you check the condition of each game disc and you better be honest about any scratches or damage. They will certainly comment if you were not forthcoming with any damage to a game disc.

Once the trade is complete you both get to rate the other trader and make any comments about the trade. Of course there are risks and any trader can rip you off but it usually would not happen too often as you get to read all the comments and ratings of all traders right on their bio page. You can see how many years some of the people have been trading and how they have done at their trades. It is a really great site and set up with honest trading as a standard.

The one site I started trading at is called Game Trading Zone and the second one I have traded once at is called Trade Games Now. Both sites are nice and have been running for awhile, Game Trading Zone for over eight years and Trade Games Now has been up for over four years. They both warn about not trading two newcomers as you both do not have a reputation of good trading yet but even this is a low risk in my opinion. If someone wants to be ripping people off he will not be doing it on one of these smaller sites and he will not be doing it for long. The rating system will show any bad trades and getting someone to trade with you after a dispute will be rather hard. I have found that people want to be honest on these sites and most are. You can be sure that traders with years of good trading are there for just that, good honest trading.

I like the Game Trading Zone a little better than Trade Games Now but both sites are good for PC games, console games, DVDs and other trading in an honest and well managed system. The Game Trading Zone has a better computer system for searching and matching trades but Trade Games Now works well enough and also has a large number of traders. Both sites have over 3000 active traders, meaning they have signed on to the site in the last two months.

Both sites only allow you to have one user to trade per email address and I know that Game Trading Zone checks to see if users who have been banned from one city are trying to restart with a new email address and name in the same city. You could cheat if you wanted to but the effort of getting a new email address and creating a new name and such just would not be worth the effort. One thing you have to remember is the mailing address of the recipient of the package has to be a valid US post office address. So someone would have to rent a post office box or have another address to mail a package to in the town they live, not worth the effort and expense. You might as well go buy the games at GameStop or some other used game place.

Game trading, especially for PC games is a pretty good deal at both the sites, Game Trading Zone and Trade Games Now. You can trade console games at some stores like GameStop, but not PC games. This is a very good way to get new games that you want for the games you are no longer play and a pretty safe method of going about it. You can be sure that guys with years of good trading will not all of a sudden go bad and rip you off. Not if they want to continue to take advantage of a good thing. So go to both site and trade those used games for ones you want. Here are links to the sites, Good Trading.

Igrice Igre
Free online games for Christmas that are appropriate for children, fun and sometimes educational to boot are a must-have when you need to keep the youngster busy. Careful! Some of the online Xmas games are addictive and you might not want to hand over the controls!

Nutcracker Game from 12 Days
The nutcracker meets hangman, and this online game is born. Since it is one of the politically correct online games for Christmas, there are no gallows but walnuts that get cracked for every wrong guess. The game offers hints when the number of nuts diminishes. This is a fun game for kids, who know how to read and spell.

Arctic Antics by Fun School at Kaboose
Christmas online games offer different settings; this one has a pool party at the North Pole, and the penguins need help getting everyone into the pool. Using only three keys, you move the penguins around to let them bounce their friends off a trampoline and into the water. Don't scoff! It's harder than it sounds. This is a great diversion for kids of any age.

Super Santa Ski Jump by Zeeks
A Santa figure that might have been imbibing a bit too much mulled cider appears on skis on this page of online Xmas games; you control his style and speed with the spacebar and hopefully fish stars out of the air. It's boring until you get the hang of it; then it's a load of fun!

The Classic of Christmas Online Games: Evil Elves by Zeeks
While the good elves are working their little fingers to the bone - most likely without a union contract - the evil elves are hard at work sneaking presents out of the toy shop and annoying the reindeer. This game is a lot of fun and although it starts out slow, it speeds up. Just make sure not to hit the reindeer or Santa with the snowballs!

Christmas Tile Mahjong by A Kid's Heart
Mahjong is Solitaire with tiles instead of cards. It is a simple matching game, or so you think. This game is excellent for preschoolers as well as teens. While the timer might appear to mock you, the number of free tiles that are displayed at any time - and also the hint that there are currently a certain number of free pairs - gives players a bit of an edge. Try it - if you think you'll give the kids a turn with this popular diversion among the Xmas games online.

Christmas Sudoku by A Kid's Math
Sudoku is taking elementary schools by storm and plenty of teachers incorporate the popular game into everyday math activities and classes. Play Christmas Sudoku, but instead of numbers, you have Christmas themed tiles. Kids will love it! If you play it, don't forget to keep an eye on the cookies; it's easy to get engrossed in this game.

Save Christmas from the Midnight Mouse by Billy Bear 4Kids
The object of the game is to click on the mouse on the gift package with the cursor. There are gifts without the mouse and if you click on those, you lose points. This is one of the online games for Christmas that will be fun for preschoolers, who are just learning how to manipulate the mouse.

Chimney Chase by Kids' Turn Central
A mix of snowball fight and whack the mole has you throwing snowballs at accountants popping out of chimneys. (Keep in mind that the game was designed by Bentley Jennison.) Be careful before your chalk this one up as being among the online Xmas games that are too simple! Santa pops up, too. If you hit him, you lose points. The challenge is to hit the accountants early enough to get maximum points to advance to the next level. It's not as easy as it sounds.

Santa vs. Jack Frost by Primary Games
Santa has gone into the costume delivery business and has 16 items he needs to deliver. Jack has a different idea and you need to use the arrows of the keyboard to move Santa while clicking the mouse to fire the presents into the chimneys. This is one of the fast paced Christmas online games for the gamer with good hand-eye coordination!

Checkers with Raymond and Santa by North Pole
This is the online version of a checkers game featuring Santa and a reindeer. It's cute and a lot of fun for anyone, who enjoys a game of checkers.

A Word of Caution before Letting Kids Play Online Games for Christmas
Online Xmas games are a great way of letting kids play, have fun and be out of your hair while you prep for the meal. Even though I checked out each and every one of these Christmas online games, make sure you check them out yourself before letting the kids play. Websites have been known to change and those with Xmas games online are no exception.

Green Living With Ample Green

Green Living
At a glance you might think Crohn's and green living couldn't possibly create any conflicts. After all, the best diets for Crohn's patients are wholesome organic foods. Their care and concern for the environment is no less that than any other eco-friendly citizen. Living green, or eco-friendly with Crohn's, however, presents a few interesting and unusual challenges.

Crohn's and Green Living: the Possibilities

There are several aspects of green living that are adaptable for a Crohn's green lifestyle. Low energy lighting, solar lights outdoors, solar pool heating devices, treating the pool with natural salts and minerals instead of chemicals, skylights, and recycling are a few of the many green lifestyle changes to which Crohn's patients easily adapt. People with Crohn's disease can also shop green, supporting companies who are committed to reducing their carbon foot-print.

Crohn's and Green Living: in the Kitchen

One thing Crohn's patients can and should do to encourage green living is eat organic foods. The foods are healthier for everyone, but can be especially beneficial to those with Crohn's disease as the less artificial fillers, waxes, and gunk put in their bodies the better off their digestive system will be.

When Crohn's Disease and Green Living Clash: in the Bathroom

There are a few green living ideals which Chron's sufferers cannot achieve. One you may find unusual, but that is highly significant is the use of biodegradable toilet paper.

Most toilet paper that is easily biodegradable is very rough. That's not too bad if you don't have Crohn's or ulcerative colitis. However, Crohn's, especially when in a flare-up, keeps you in the bathroom. It doesn't take long for rough toilet paper to create incredible, unbearable pain.

Crohn's disease already inflicts enough pain. One more pain in the derriere may not be tolerable. Severe and chronic pain inside your guts leaves no endurance for rough toilet paper. Whether it is considered green living or not, if you have Crohn's disease you need a soft paper to help prevent the onset of other problems like hemorrhoids, irritated tags, and torn body tissue.

When Crohn's Disease and Green Living Clash: Cleaning

Another issue of green living that poses a problem for Crohn's patients is the use of standard household cleaners. Crohn's patients must keep germ proliferation to a minimum. Even with the recent flood of green cleaning products in the market, Crohn's patients generally continue to use household cleaners that contain bleach or ammonia.

Certain germs that live specifically in the bathroom must be dead, so the Crohn's patient stays healthy. One can hardly criticize anyone with Crohn's disease for using traditional cleaning products to make sure that happens.

Even good bacteria in the digestive system can become life threatening when a Crohn's patient's immune system is compromised. For example, Clostridium difficile (C-diff) is a bacterium in everyone's intestines. However, when C-diff enters the bloodstream of a Crohn's patient or proliferates in their digestive system it can become life threatening. It is highly toxic and can result in death if left untreated.

Because C-diff and other germs and diseases prey on weak immune systems, Crohn's patients have to show particular attention to the cleanliness of their surroundings. Fearing the possibility of getting sick will keep some individuals with Crohn's disease from using green cleaning products, despite their germ killing claims.

It has everything to do with the instinct to remain healthy and is a mindset that keeps some individuals with Crohn's disease from traveling without carrying their own cleaning supplies. As green cleaning products become increasingly available, and their reliability in killing germs is firmly established, this mindset among Crohn's sufferers may change.

When Crohn's Disease and Green Living Clash: Paper or Plastic?

Paper or plastic? The answer seems like a no-brainer for promoting green, eco-friendly living: paper or reusable cloth bags. Unfortunately, the answer isn't that easy for Crohn's patients. They need the plastic bags, and in order to live green and not become consumers of more plastic bags they will recycle plastic grocery bags for their needs.

This information is not something a typical Crohn's patient would share, but in order to understand the conflict between living green and living with Crohn's these issues have to be discussed frankly.

Plastic bags are a staple for Crohn's patients who suffer from moderate to severe Crohn's. Many Crohn's patients lose complete control of their sphincter muscles. Crohn's accidents are embarrassing and unhygienic. Sometimes, the only thing the Crohn's sufferer can do is dispose of soiled undergarments and many times their clothes, as well.

For this reason many Crohn's patients keep plastic bags around the house, in their car, in their purse, or even tucked in the bottom of their briefcase. (They also keep a change of clothes tucked away.) When an accident happens there is enough concern about the incident, the smell, and getting the problem taken care of. The last thing a Crohn's patient needs to do is walk around their home or a store with a smelly paper bag, because they are too green to use plastic.

Plastic grocery bags seem to clash with green living, but for someone with Crohn's disease using plastic grocery bags is a legitimate and useful way to recycle them.

unlockiphone345.com Reviews - Good Service

I'm very happy with product delivered from UnlockiPhone345.com.

Their support is excellent and very fast in helping.

Last weekend saw the introduction of an unlock solution for the latest iPhone firmware. The first-gen iPhone users will now be able to enjoy 2.0 firmware with any SIM card. The iPhone 3G is not there yet, but there's some progress and we hope it would get unlocked some time soon too.

The popular iPhone Dev Team has come up with the latest version of their all-in-one Pwnage tool for setting your iPhones free via customized firmwares - much like the Windows Mobile community does it. However with the Pwnage Tool you can cook your own firmwares customized to your liking.

For those of you that are new to Pwning here's a brief and simplified explanation. You take an original iPhone firmware file (freely downloadable), you run it through the Pwnage tool customizing stuff on the way (such as pre-installed applications, setups, even custom graphics) and finally you apply it to the iPhone the regular iTunes way. It's that simple.

The new Pwnage 2.0 tool now allows you to (h)activate, jailbreak and unlock the first-gen iPhone running the latest 2.0 software. It's a major upgrade to the iPhone functionality and actually makes the original iPhone software identical to the iPhone 3G.

The Pwnage tool 2.0 also works with iPhone 3G but unlocking is not possible yet. The only available options are (h)activation and jailbreak so you won't be taking advantage of the 3G or any other phone function unless you are using the legit SIM card provided with the iPhone 3G.

The Pwnage tool is immensely popular and it's being downloaded feverishly all weekend. Thanks to your feedback an upgraded version of the tool has spawned - it's ver. 2.0.1.

Unfortunately, for now the Pwnage tool 2.0 is available only to Mac, so to take advantage of it Windows users will need a workaround which requires even more hackery. In case you are interested, you can check the Windows solution here.

The official Dev Team blog is to be found here. A step-by-step guide for jailbreaking the iPhone 3G can be found here.

We should remind you that there are three countries that you can get the iPhone 3G fully unlocked - it's Italy, Belgium and Hong Kong. In Italy the iPhone 3G 8GB would set you back 399 euro (around 630 US dollars) but you will get the device with a pre-paid SIM and fully operational with other carriers.

In Belgium the same thing will cost you 525 euro (830 US dollars) for the 8GB version.

iPhone 2.0 unlocked

In Hong Kong the only way to buy the iPhone 3G is with a local ID and local credit card. Ingenious sellers there however have already started an iPhone 3G reselling service, but it's costly and the price for a single unlocked unit usually goes over 1000 US dollars.

Additionally, several carriers in other first-wave countries offer official unlocking of their iPhone 3G handsets, but it's usually costly - about 100 euro per device (160 US dollars). For a full list of the iPhone availability and SIM lock status per country, we suggest you visit this list.

Ever since Arch Rivals was released in 1989, I have loved the arcade basketball genre, especially when you can beat the crap out of the opponent and not get called for a foul. NBA Jam took its influence from Arch Rivals when it was released by Midway in 1993, but it was different in that it had fully licensed the basketball teams in the game. That made the gameplay experience that much better since it really felt like you were playing as those teams’ star players.

NBA Jam recently made a triumphant return thanks to EA Sports, and now thanks to EA Mobile, the NBA Jam experience can be taken with you while your on the go with your iPhone. But how exactly did EA Mobile do in bringing the fast-paced, arcade style basketball gameplay experience to the iPhone? Very, very well.

NBA Jam for the iPhone comes with everything you’d expect from the console version of the game. Over 30 NBA teams are all represented in the game with their roster of star players and one or two bonus unlock able characters depending on the team. Some teams have all time greats to unlock such as Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, or Scotty Pippen (sorry, no Michael Jordan here). Other teams who might not have an all time great in their past roster will be able to unlock their team’s mascot to finally get their chance at playing some basketball with the big boys. Unlocking these additional players can be done by completing a number of the game’s challenges, which can be viewed in the “Challenges” menu. Not only can you unlock players, but tweaks to the game, such as big head mode or replacing the basketball with a bowling ball, can also be unlocked by completing challenges. The game has a ton of cool unlockables which will keep any NBA Jam fan busy for days if you decide you want to complete all of them.

The game modes included for NBA Jam are the Play Now and Classic Campaign modes. The Play Now mode allows you to pick a team, your opponent, and play a game instantly. Classic campaign lets players take a single team through 37 games in order to become the champions. You’ll not only play against NBA teams, but you’ll also take on some secret teams later in the campaign. Both of these modes can be quit and returned to, which is certainly good news if you can only dedicate a couple of minutes to NBA Jam at a time. You can also brush up on your NBA Jam skills in the Jam Camp mode, which takes you through the basics of playing NBA Jam. One thing I’m disappointed didn’t make it in the game was some kind of multiplayer mode. What’s an NBA Jam game without taking on another player and then dumping some hot coffee in their lap when they beat you? Seeing how many EA Mobile games have included a multiplayer component, I was very surprised that NBA Jam didn’t come with one. Although keep in mind that this is the land of iOS and they can certainly update the game with a multiplayer mode in the future, but I feel this game deserved one from the get-go.

The controls for NBA Jam are spot on as it offers two forms of controls: Arcade and Gesture. Arcade controls place a navigation stick on the bottom right of the screen and the shoot / jump, pass / steal, and turbo buttons on the bottom right that’ll change depending on the condition. Gesture controls allows you to use any part of the left screen to navigate and the right part of the screen to issue a shoot / jump, pass / steal, and turbo command depending on how you interact with the screen. For example: In order to issue a shoot command, you just have to place your thumb on the right side of the screen and swipe upwards. I found both control schemes to have its pros and cons, but I started to favor the gesture controls once I got the hang of them.

What’s an NBA Jam game without an over-energized announcer yelling his play-by-play? I’m happy to report that the announcer is in fact in the game and he’s spot on with his performance. Every shot, steal, and dunk will receive a reaction from the announcer. Not only will he announce the player’s names, but he’ll also say the shortened versions of their names too. I know this doesn’t seem like a big deal, but when you consider that this game is on the iPhone, I’m surprised EA Mobile was able to fit all of his reactions to every move in the game as well as the players into the game.

All of the players, their courts, and visual effects look stunning on the class='bm_keywordlink' id='iphone-4-span'>iPhone 4‘s Retina Display. Each player wears their uniform how they usually do in a real game, such as headbands, high socks, or arm guards. Their heads, body type, and hair are all accurately represented, even their dunk faces. All of the courts have a nice gloss to them and reflect the action that’s taking place. The game just looks absolutely amazing.

FINAL THOUGHT: NBA Jam is an amazing game on the iPhone. It performs flawlessly in every way, although I was disappointed a multiplayer mode wasn’t included. I don’t know what kind of wizardry EA Mobile did to fit all of this goodness onto the iPhone, but I commend them for successfully delivering an accurate NBA Jam experience.

What would you call Jobs for this? A man who always plays by the book even if it’s the Russian President he’s dealing with or a complete douche bag? Speaking of playing by the book, if the iPhone has to be locked to the AT&T, it should be locked for the Russian president too. However, on the other hand, what’s the point of the gift which Mr. President couldn’t use till date. I just voted for the Steve Jobs as douche bag.

Back in June 2010, Russian president, Dmitry Medvedev, visited US during which he also got to meet up with CEO of Apple, Steve Jobs. To appreciate the efforts of taking out the time to meet him, Jobs gifted him an iPhone, locked to AT&T.

This was disclosed earlier this week in a tweet by the assistant to President, which read:

@babdima тот телефон был с прошивкой AT&T, здесь – не очень работает:)

Translation of which is (according to Google Translate):

@babdima that the phone was flashing with AT&T, here – not working

Again, playing by the book or douche bag?
